A note from the Honorary Chair
To our international students,
As Honorary Chair of MiTSA, I want to express how deeply sorry I am that you had to witness yesterday’s protests. This is not how most Australians feel, and I want to reassure you that you are sincerely welcome here. Please do not ever feel unsafe — your presence enriches our community.
What makes each of us different is exactly what makes all of us special. MiTSA is built on embracing diversity, supporting our LGBTIQ+ community, and welcoming everyone. We stand for respecting and celebrating diversity — across race, religion, sex, gender identity, and sexuality. All of you are safe and respected here.
Being part of MiTSA means growing together, developing skills that set you apart, and becoming the best in your field. I believe in every one of you, and I’m proud to have you as part of our community.
If you ever experience or witness unwanted behaviour on our channels, please reach out at safercommunity@mitsa.tech.
Warm regards,
Grant Freeman
